Slide Out Chassis

Larger Units  feature a slide-out chassis, while the outer Case remains firmly secured through your wall cutout, for easy service and maintenance.

Chassis Mounted Control Interfaces

Some Units may feature chassis mounted Control Interfaces, located in the lower right quadrant of the Unit, behind a hinged access cover. The power cord of these Units extends from the lower right corner of the grille.

The digital or touch screen controls in this configuration are typically mounted in a slide out tray that remains affixed to the Unit when the Grille is removed.  Unit control assembly service is accomplished by removing the Grille and then removing screws to slide out the control assembly which includes all control components..

Grille Mounted Control Interfaces

Most Bebco Model TAC and THP Through Wall or Window Mount Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps feature grille mounted control interfaces located in the upper left quadrant of the grille. The power cord extends from the lower left corner of this unit’s grille.

The digital or touch screen controls in this configuration remain affixed to the grille when it is removed. Unit control assembly service is accomplished by first detaching the grille and disconnecting wire connectors from the digital or touch screen display and setting the grille and digital or touch screen controls aside, prior to accessing the remaining control assembly components located within the chassis.

Power Cord Variations

When Basic, Eco Cool™ or Eco Pump™ Controls are selected, Model TAC and THP Units feature a 3-6 foot long ordinary location power cord with a receptacle plug, which may be mated to an ordinary location receptacle or disconnect switch.

Units with Smart Cool™ or Smart Pump™ Controls feature a 6 foot long Class I, Division 2 Group B rated marine grade power cord suitable for a rated plug and receptacle assembly or a power disconnect switch, such as a Bebco Model EDS Explosion Proof Disconnect Switch.

Consult a Bebco Sales Associate at time of Inquiry or Order for more information regarding power cords, as related to Unit ratings and controls.

  • The widest range of sizes
  • The broadest choice of case options
  • The most economical or advanced controls

Bebco produces Model TAC and THP Units with Basic, Eco Cool™, Eco Pump™, Smart Cool™ and Smart Pump™ Controls to provide a wide range of Through Wall and Window Mount Air Conditioners and Heat Pumps that are ETL Listed to meet all requirements for ordinary locations and unclassified or pressurized rooms or buildings or unpressurized rooms or buildings in Class I, Division 2, Group A-D Hazardous Locations.

These Units are identical in most respects, featuring an external condenser coil and compressor along with a sealed room side evaporator coil . A single motor drives two fans to cool the condenser coil with outdoor air and recirculate room air through the refrigerant chilled evaporator coil to provide room cooling.

Eco Pump™ and Smart Pump™ Units are hybrid systems that include a solenoid valve to reverse refrigerant flow. This process heats the evaporator coil to provide highly efficient room heating.

As noted below, some Bebco Model TAC and THP Units may not include a slide-out chassis.  However, to enhance serviceability, all Units feature a standard 3-6 foot long power cord with a receptacle plug or a marine grade cord suitable for a receptacle plug or direct connection to a disconnect switch, depending on the Unit’s rating.

Please review our Optional Features and Model Number Matrix pages for additional details and contact a Bebco Sales Associate for more information.

Slide-Out Chassis Exclusion

Small units may not feature a slide out chassis; however,  they’re smaller size and weight permits easy installation and service. Consult a Bebco Sales Associate for more information.
