BEST PRACTICES
Provide minimum external clearances on the left and right sides and rear side of a Model RAC or RHP Unit for inlet air and on the rear side of a Unit for exhaust air that is passing through the condenser compartment.
Provide minimum internal clearance for recirculating
airflow within the room or building.
- Minimum of 1 Inch between the left and right sides of Model RAC & RHP Units and any obstructions.
- Minimum of 8 Inches from rear side of Model RAC & RHP Units to any vertical 90 to 45 degree surface obstruction; or Minimum of 4 Inches from rear side of Model RAC & RHP Units to any angled 45 degree or less surface obstruction.
Model RAC & RHP Clearance Requirements
The absence of external airflow obstructions is extremely critical to ensure unimpeded air flow through Model RAC & RHP Roof Mount Air Conditioner condenser compartments. Internal airflow obstructions must also be avoided to ensure proper air circulation within your building or room.
Direction of Travel is provided to indicate proper installation on any portable room or building which may be transported frequently.
Follow these simple guidelines to ensure maximum efficiency and ensure your unit is not damaged during transportation or operation!
