Bebco provides these assemblies to serve as a fresh air intake for our Whisper Drive™ Pressurization Units. Spiral Pipe Stacks are an essential accessory that provide an economical and guy-wire secured source of fresh air.
When properly secured, these stacks are designed to withstand extremely high wind-loads, are certified for coastal areas, and they are provided with a very wide range of accessories including fittings, flexible duct connectors, anchor kits and rain caps.

Bebco Whisper Drive™ Pressurization Unit Spiral Pipe Stacks Assemblies
Model SP Spiral Pipe Stacks, along with Model SN Ninety and Model ST Tee Stack Fittings and Model SC Stack Caps provide an economical and easily installed fresh air intake system for Bebco Building Pressurization Units. The Model SP Spiral Pipe Stacks are available in standard lengths of 10 or 14 feet and in custom lengths, with 12”, 16”, 20”, and 24” diameters in either galvanized or stainless-steel materials with optional finishes.
Model CAGK and EAGK Concrete Anchor and Earth Auger Kits provide complete guy wire support systems, including ground level anchors, spiral pipe guy wire attachment brackets, turnbuckles and guy wire cable. As an alternative, Bebco also offers a unique telescoping Model SPSK Spiral Pipe Stanchion Kit to eliminate some or all guy wire supports. Finally, to facilitate easy connection to a Bebco Whisper Drive™ Pressurization Unit, and eliminate alignment and stress issues, Bebco recommends the use of Model FDC Flexible Duct Connectors. Bebco Whisper Drive™ Pressurization Unit Spiral Pipe Stacks
This multi-story building features a 20” diameter Bebco Spiral Pipe Stack feeding a Bebco Dual Channel Gas Phase Filtration and Pressurization Unit. In turn, it feeds two Bebco Model WAC Wall Mount Building Air Conditioners. The Spiral Pipe Stack is attached to the structure’s wall at two points to provide adequate support and extends slightly above the third level of this massive structure.
Model WDP & RDP Whisper Drive™ Building Pressurization Unit fresh air intake ports can also be served by SPSA Series Spiral Pipe Stack Assemblies, which come complete with all essential components to complete your installation, including fittings, guy wire kits, anchor bolts and stanchion supports. Bebco Whisper Drive™ Pressurization Unit Rigid Pipe Stacks Assemblies
Model RP Rigid Pipe Stacks, Model RPAK Rigid Pipe Anchor Bolt Kits, and Model SC Stack Caps provide a fresh air intake system for Bebco Building Pressurization Units. The Model RP Rigid Pipe Stacks are available in 12”, 16”, 20”, and 24” diameters in either carbon steel or stainless steel. Model RP Rigid Pipe Stacks are 25 feet tall single piece stacks constructed from seal-welded 1/4” thick (schedule 20) carbon or stainless-steel pipe.
The Model RP feature a seal-welded flange at the top for the stack cap connection and a seal-welded blind flange at the bottom for mounting to a concrete slab. To facilitate easy connection to a Bebco Whisper Drive™ Pressurization Unit, and eliminate alignment and stress issues, Bebco recommends the use of Model FDC Flexible Duct Connectors. LBebco Whisper Drive™ Pressurization Unit Rigid Pipe Stacks
In an extremely unique application, this Emergency Deluge Fire Pump Engine Building is equipped with an oversized Bebco Model WDP Wall Mount Whisper Drive™ Building Pressurization Unit. As shown, the Unit is fed by a free-standing Bebco Model RPSK Rigid Pipe Stack, constructed from Schedule 20 carbon steel pipe and mounted to a detachable entryway platform, next to the front door.
The WDP Unit pressurizes the building and also provides emergency ventilation if interior gas detection units sense engine fuel or exhaust gases within the building. As shown in the inset image, the engine has a ducted exhaust, but relies on the automatic controls of the Whisper Drive™ Unit to supply its massive amount of intake air, while the WDP Unit also accomplishes pressurization and achieves the required 60 feet per minute air velocity through both doors when fully opened!
In this instance, the unique free-standing attributes of the Bebco Rigid Pipe Stack permitted this new building to be located within a densely occupied area of a refinery, without the need for the extensive space and clearances required for guy wire supports!

or cannot be accommodated!
The Model FID Flexible Intake Duct provides a temporary, pliable fresh air duct connection to Bebco Model WDP or RDP Unit. Model FID is typically utilized in applications where the use of a permanent spiral or rigid pipe stack is not feasible.
When placed properly, the intake housing draws unclassified, fresh air into a Bebco Whisper Drive™ Pressurization Unit
from an unclassified area adjacent to the immediate vicinity.

Bebco Whisper Drive™ Building Pressurization Unit Flexible Intake Duct
Bebco Model FID Flexible Intake Duct housings are manufactured from 304 and 316 stainless steel components, and the duct features a pliable neoprene coated polyester hose with a mechanically embedded galvanized steel helix to withstand years of exposure to harsh operating conditions and corrosive environments.
They serve to provide a source of fresh air where the use of a permanent spiral or rigid pipe stack is not feasible, and they are provided with 25 feet or custom length duct. Contact a Bebco Sales Associate for more information about custom duct lengths and housing options.

Gas Detection Systems
Bebco GDS Series Gas Detection Systems are intended to alert your team to unacceptable levels of flammable, combustible or toxic gases, or to monitor oxygen levels within a building or room containing analyzers or other chemical processing equipment. The power supply requires a 120 VAC power source and feeds 24 VDC to the monitor, which powers the sensor within the protected enclosure. The monitor then sends a 4-20 ma signal to an alarm monitoring system to alert your staff of critical conditions.
Bebco also offers a unique and easily installed Model GDSB Gas Detector Sensor Bracket for your fresh air intake stack, that includes a gasketed and contoured stainless steel seal-welded sensor housing, rated conduit fittings for the installation of a gas sensor and an integrated gas tubing port to simplify calibration tasks and ensure proper sensor maintenance. NFPA Compliant Caution & Warning Nameplatess
Bebco Model BPCN Nameplates are required for all personnel doors, and caution that the building is pressurized and the door must be firmly secured after entering or exiting. The nameplate also warns against leaving the door open unless the area is known to be free of flammable materials or unless all unprotected devices have been de-energized.
Model SDWN Nameplates are required for all equipment doors and warn against opening the door without permission of the operational management authority except in the event of a life-threatening emergency, unless the surrounding area is known to be free of flammable materials or unless all unprotected devices have been de-energized. Whisper Drive™ Unit Discharge Air Filters
Bebco Model DAF Discharge Air Filters are stainless steel, 250 micron, reusable air filters for Bebco Model WDP & RDP Pressurization Units and WVF & RVF Ventilation Fans. They are strongly recommended as spare parts for Units that draw air from mild to extremely dusty environments to ensure positive filtration of air entering a room or building at all times. In addition, they serve to ensure that wasps, bees, moths, mosquitoes or any other insects are not introduced into a pressurized or ventilated space.

Bebco Model EDS Explosion-Proof Disconnects provide three 30 amp poles to remove all power safely from Bebco Whisper Drive™ Building Pressurization Units. These switches are intended and suitable for mounting on or near the exterior surface of the unit to safely disconnect power from these devices, and they include a separate label to properly identify their purpose, which can be easily attached to any dry, clean surface.
